Golf tournament & league management

From registration
to recognition.

The club championship, the Thursday league and the Saturday foursome — the draw, the cards, the live board and the money, run from one place.

The round

One Saturday, both sides of it.

What you do as the organizer and what your players see, in the order it happens.

Thu 18:00Organizer

The draw goes out on Thursday.

The tee sheet is drawn from who's in — by handicap, standings or sides — then yours to adjust. Publish it, and every player has their group and tee time on their phone, pushed to it if they've turned notifications on.

  • One tee, split tees or a shotgun
  • Opt in, opt out, or captains send the list
  • Pairing requests kept together — not on a draw by position
The organizer's tee sheet: two pairing requests above the published draw, and the pair who asked together in Group 1, off hole 1 at 08:10.
08:05Player

Eight characters, and they're on their card.

A round code — no account, no app store, nothing to install.

Enter your score: a box for the round code the organizer gave out.
10:20Player

At the turn, their Today screen.

Their card through nine, where they stand, and the club's pinned notice for the day.

A player's Today screen: the round, a pinned notice about preferred lies, their card so far and the leaders.
10:50Player

Tap the score — or say it.

“Four”, “par”, “bogey” — or the whole card read out in one go. It keeps saving without signal.

  • Gross and net per hole, with the stroke dot
  • One phone can keep the card for the group
My card, by hole: hole 12, par 3, score buttons from Ace to +3 and a microphone to say it.
11:42Player

Their own line first on the board.

Where they stand as every card comes in — and the column says whether it's strokes, points or match play.

The player's Board: their own position first, then the field ranked by net strokes.
12:30Organizer

A knockout result comes in from the course.

The player reports it on their phone. Nothing moves on the draw until you approve it — or turn it down.

A result to approve: Gordon Pyle reports he won his semifinal 3&2, with Approve and Turn down.
14:00Player

Everyone knows what they're owed.

Skins, pots and the shared costs in one settle-up — the fewest handovers.

A player's Money screen: what they're owed, and the fewest handovers that make everyone square.
The difference

Five reasons it’s different.

What a club, a league or a golf group gets here — each one checked against the platforms we compare, on their own websites.

01

Say the score.

Players read their scores out loud, hole by hole or the whole card. None of the five platforms we compare lists voice scoring.

02

No app. No account.

A round code puts a player on their card in eight characters. It installs from the browser if they want it on the home screen.

03

Works out the money. Never holds it.

Outing costs, skins, pots and side bets in one settle-up, in the fewest handovers. Nothing is collected or moved — the money stays with your pro shop, treasurer or accounting system.

04

A real free plan. No setup fee.

Up to 10 players, every format, the live board — free for good. Both club platforms we compare charge a one-time setup fee and list no free plan.

05

Your country’s golf.

Carts or buggies, organizers or organisers, yards or metres, a Sunday or a Monday week — set by where the club is, with prices in its currency.

The money

Outing costs and prize money, settled.

Worked out from the cards and the bills — and TourneyHQ never touches the cash.

Outing costs, split.

Whoever paid records the bill. Several payers on one bill, refunds, and four ways to split it.

Make it yours

Light or dark. In your colors.

Every screen comes in light and dark — drag the slider across one. And the organizer screens, the public board and the player app all wear the club’s colors: eleven presets, thirteen ready-made pairings, or your own, each checked for how it reads outdoors.

Checked for sunlight

A 7:1 outdoor bar on dark, the readable minimum on light — a warning, not a refusal.

Albatross · Associations and corporates

Running several clubs, or a corporate golf program? Albatross is priced with each organization rather than published — our contact address opens soon. Until then, each club can run on Eagle.

Text alerts, reading a photographed card and drafted commentary are built and not switched on for anybody yet — they cost per message and per call, so they will come with Eagle first, once they’re worth billing for.

Questions

What organizers ask first.

The eight we hear most. 41 in all — handicaps, leagues, the money, plans — on the full page.

See all 41 questions
Do players need to download an app?

No. Players open a link — or type the round’s code — to see the board and enter scores, with nothing to install and no app store. It adds to the home screen if they want it, and their card keeps saving when the signal on the course doesn’t.

How much does it cost?
Par$0up to 10 players · one tournament at a time
Birdie$49/moup to 50 a field · unlimited events
Eagle$175/moany size of field · your branding

Pay yearly and two months are free — $490 a year or $1,750 a year. A player never pays.

Does TourneyHQ handle our money?

It works every amount out and keeps the record — skins, pots, entry fees, shared costs — and never holds, moves or takes a cut of any of it. There’s no pay button; it reduces everything to the fewest handovers, and you mark each one settled when it’s done.

How are course handicaps calculated?

To the published World Handicap System method, from the tee’s own rating and slope then the format’s allowance: the published one where there is one, and a common club convention for scrambles and shambles. Never the raw index.

Handicap index12.4Course rating / slope71.5 / 140Course handicap15Four-ball allowance90%Playing handicap14

Done for every player, every round. A tee with no rating says so rather than guessing.

Can we run a weekly league?

Yes. Choose how each week’s field is decided:

  • everyone plays every week
  • in unless they opt out — the standing league
  • out unless they opt in — the drop-in league
  • captains send the list and the club enters it

Players answer on their phones and the tee sheet is drawn from who’s in — then it’s yours to adjust.

What formats can we run?

Sixteen. Fifteen are scored automatically, plus ‘Other’ for a club’s own format, scored by hand. All settle onto one leaderboard:

Stroke PlayStablefordModified StablefordMatch PlayFour-BallBest BallFoursomesAlternate ShotGreensomesChapman / PinehurstShambleScrambleTexas ScrambleSkinsNassauOther, scored by hand
Can more than one of us run it?

Yes. Invite organizers and assistants to run the day alongside you, all working from the same live event, so the scoring desk and the first tee are never out of step. Somebody helping for just one event can join as a guest, and a guest doesn’t use a seat.

Seats: 1 on Par, 3 on Birdie, 10 on Eagle.

Is our members' information kept private?

Contact details never appear on the public leaderboard — it carries names and scores only, and nothing is visible at all until you choose to publish. Your roster stays yours.
